Children's Book: Upside Down & All Around: A Book for Kids About Covid-19

Brit Jacoby is an artist, writer and mother in the D.C. area. She is the author and illustrator of the children's book Upside Down and All Around: A Book for Kids About Covid-19

Her work has been showcased in art festivals, gallery strolls, and solo exhibitions. She has collaborated on projects from comic book illustration to wedding stationary designs, and many individual commissions. Her work is greatly influenced by nature and motherhood.

Brit has worked in musical theater, marketing and advertising, academia and was the owner of a now retired Etsy shop where she sold her original designs on mugs, greeting cards and a variety of other home goods.

In 2019 she completed a series of paintings under the project name of Softness/Strength. An exploration of traumas experienced by the female body in postpartum and an exercise in appreciating the scars, both literal and figurative. She now focuses her energy on mothering her three children, writing, and creating gentle watercolors.

Most currently, she is working on another children's book.

Sometimes she is funny.
